I'm going to fit a Stebel Nautilus horn on an 1150 GSA tomorrow , does the relay have to be fitted ? If not can it be done with the tank in place ? Can the horn be bolted to original fittings ? TIA , James . :thumb

Worse than the feeble horn is the daft position of the switch/button on bars
Twenty five years of automatic reaction has now to be over come---nobody will look up and take notice of a left hand flashing indicator when i should be beeping--frustrating & dangerous

Yes you need a relay - but not the one sent with the Nautilus the existing OEM relay works fine
Yes it can be fitted without removing the tank.
Yes you can use the original fittings too - but differently see this thread nautilus fitting here

You are right, I hit the turn signal instead of the horn. :)

I am hoping that in time I get used to it.

I've got the Magnum fitted to my 12GS :thumb :thumb

When I fitted it, in my enclosed garage, first thing I did was press the horn button - bad move!!  Scared the sh1t out of me!

When I first started using it on the road on my commute into London, it also scared the bejesus out of me - nearly fell off!! However, recently it seems to be getting quieter - either that or I'm going deaf!!

Anyone else think theirs is getting more muted?
