I've replaced the clutch hose and brake hoses on my 1150 gs,no problems so far.The bike has been lying up for a week or so while waiting for a hollow bolt that connects the hydraulic clutch hose to the slave cylinder. My intentions today were to refill the clutch master cylinder with clutch fluid and bleed the system, other than that it hasn't been touched. The problem is the fluid will not leave the master cylinder to fill the system when I pump the lever, there is no pressure at all,I loosened the hose at the master cylinder and pumped the lever forever and a day but the fluid level is still the same. By the way the clutch lever is now making a noise similar to chewing a balloon. :nenau

How about bleeding it from the fitting just behind the helmet lock? Remove the grub screw, then .............................. try a search for bleeding clutch. May have to buy a bleed nipple.

Thanks for the replies, tried bleeding from there, pushed in the ball bearing and all that good stuff, no joy.The bike is a 01 GS with ABS as for servos,I dont know.

Does it whine when you turn on the ignition and squeeze the brakes?

01 shouldn't be a servo - but if it was, the clutch isn't a servo anyway.

Are you tying to bleed the clutch with the cap sealed ?

Aaah yes - now that I actually read the post properly....

Also Try unscrewing the wholebleed unit fro the clutch line. Take off the foam sleeve, and you'll see some"flats" on the unit and the line. Take the unit off, let the line hang down to it's lowest point, and see if the fluid runs out under gravity
