Steptoe's cat code 'plug' - it works!

what about the twin spark 03?with 2.4 mototronic,i got a remus,no cat and a k and n so were do i put a link?SAME AS THE PIC??every 1 mail me with there results on all models an ill put a graph up ,and conn positions

tried it, made no diff, oh well,at least i understand what its meant to be doing now, heres a thought ,what if u tricked the lambda with a resistor,???any1 tried that???

there was someone on ebay selling a device remarkably like that.

What "difference" were you expecting. It's not a tuning aid.

Don't trick the lambda, just unplug it

if u dnt experiment or ask,u never learn,,,,

How do you think i found out.

And as i keep on endlessly repeating in the post, try it and see.

No point in keep on asking "will it work on my bike."

And breathe :D

been experimenting, steptoes right ,all depends on your bike, its like trying the same set of carbs on diffrent bikes, but same model, ,they give diffrent results,no 2 bikes are same, some run richer, some weaker ,some are ok,all u can do is try,
now,ive gotta repair the gearbox on uggs wich some unscruplious person sold to him,(u kno who u are)swappin the suspension was a nice touch too,i made a rear suspension spring comp if any1 in yorkshire needs 1

ps would av tried it sooner ,only i could only see posts on single spark bikes, wasnt sure of diffrences, ,no 1 seemd fit to pm me back thou, wouldnt av took long, or much effort, also,no one would dare on a jap bike, it may burn out!bmw,s are relitavly new to me, so im cautiouse, sorry if it annoys certain god like people on here,i bow to u all,(for now)

suggest u swat up about lambdas, the racing/car worlds been using resisters a long time,to fine tune settings, not sayin they do owt tho, its jus a comment on what i read:topic

suggest u swat up about lambdas,

I know... All i'm doing is suggesting you unplug the lambda and see what happens ;) . My god your hard work  eeeeeverything is going straight over your head. Put the workshop manual down and relax.:D

I think the mods need an ignore facility, please .....:D

im probably applying things too much from jap bikes still, used to tuning a diffrent style of bike,i think im still not thinking in bmw terms ,,,unplugging stuff and putting link wires in on some jap bikes causes untold probs,my apologys,

I don't think any of the dealers has much of a clue about the catcode settings, they just bang on a Y-piece, sling the catcode plug and take your money.

I would guess that the BB-Power bridge for an open pipe would be the one to use if you have a Remus. That links three of the catcode sockets.

Tryed this 3 way link.
(6) main host link connect to (2) (5) (8) pulled fuse 5 wait 30 seconds...
better accelleration up to 3000 revs then 4/6000 at 80mph pluss
bike holding back even with throttle open 3/4 way.
wouldnt go above 90mph.

R1100gs 95model. remus revelution pipe with link to original headers.

question. have i missed some fitting or operating procedure we installing the
link..? ie resseting the injectors?

have removed link after removing fuse 5 , back to normal , just a bitt fluttery.
(ok not technicl description but i aint no bmw tech)

Doesn't work on 1100 models. Only for 1150.

All your doing by Pulling fuse 5 and twisting the throttle is resetting the motronic memory of where idle and full throttle is. The bike does this automatically anyway when you use it.

take it there isnt a link for the 1100.?

So you want someone here to tell you how much fuel is left in your tank when the light comes on. We're sitting behind a computer screen, many miles from you and your bike.
And you could be actually sitting on your bike.

Let me think about it. :D

It's dead easy ugg fill the tank to the rim at the base of the filler neck Now you know you've got 24 litres if it's a metal tank and 25 litres it it's a plastic tank

Set the trip to zero and go riding!

When the light comes on or whatever you can either call in and top back up to where you were or drive on until it stops. Either way you can work out your mpg and running it until it cuts out or until it's empty (not recommended) will give you your maximum range for the bike [if you remember to strap a jerrican on or have an accomplice with a full ish tank you can syphon some from you wont even have to cadge a lift to the garage?

to do the maths (number of litres to fill up again) divided by 4.54 = ??Gallons

(Number of miles covered) divided by (gallons to top up tank again) = Miles per gallon

WHat do you get MPG wise? Mines doing about 45 to 50 but then again I'm nursing one of those dodgey M93 boxes
