I'm currently looking at a machine that produces "domed stickers". Think tank protector and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.... essentially a vinyl sticker with a clear resin dome/cover (c. 2mm high and a bit like a lens).

These look the bees knees and can be found all over the place from cufflinks to car badges (e.g. Ford/BMW etc). So I got thinking... Who's interested in some GS stickers - you choose the design/colours etc. etc. Prices would be c. £25 for a "set" but needs to be confirmed based on volume. (I'd need to get a few orders together to put it through).

The stickers could be used pretty much anywhere any other sticker would be applied, though the coating prevents them being applied to some curvy surfaces... I imagine a helmet would be fine, but a cup wouldn't...

So if you're interested, send me a PM or email and I'll keep you all posted.

Cheers

Here's a pic that may help you understand what I'm talking about and also a possible application (off road use only ;))

Can you do one-offs? If so, what sort of data would your machine take? And colours - any? Mixture on the same sticker or one colour only?

One offs not a problem.

Can print on pretty much anything and dome anything. Jut need to make sure the application is correct and the cost is bearable. Best to give me a ring or drop me a pm so we can discuss properly!

having fun

Well after a few pots of resin and hours playing, I'm making progress. Unfortunately, some elements aren't working out so well... the resin doesn't fit well into "pointy" bits, so I'm looking at subtle alterations. However, other parts look the bees knees - check out the "G"... So now's the time to let me know exactly what you want - colours etc. etc. so I can work it all out properly. Drop me a pm or call me on 07989 566114

Some times pointy bits/very sharp corners can be filled by dragging the resin into the corner with a blunt needle then allowing a slight (and i mean slight) down hill slope to that area whilst drying, another bit that works well is to put a drop of resin into each corner then fill as normal this can give a nice finish:thumb

The resin we use also flows much better when warmed (i normally just stick it in my pocket for few minutes if a sticker is a strange shape)

Again, please forgive me if its a grandmother sucking eggs thing:thumb

Good luck:)
