My brake light is getting stuck on, this only happens when the handlebar brake lever is used, is there any adjustment on the switch or is a visit to my friendly BWM dealer needed?

Well I can only speak for Jap bikes but when mine sticks I spray plenty of WD40 on it and give it a work in and out a few times. I assume it's one of those little microswitch types held on with a little screw under the lever clamp.

Sorry Yen, but as DualSport forum stalwart, I'd have thought you'd have known that BMW's have a Servo operated switch, connected via Canbus to the ECU & that any failure deems the bike unroadworthy until repaired only by a BMW trained mechanic..........

Darn sneaky Bosch, why was this never mentioned in 'The Long Way Round'?

Mine was sticking, could here the servo whining away. Sprayed it with WD40. Voila, cured.
