Hi Everyone.
I have a 2002 BMW R1150GS and haven't used it for almost 3 weeks due to ice/snow etc.
I used it this afternoon for first time and the clutch lever is sticking, it sticks a little at half way point (at biting point) then fine the rest of way and when clutch is released it doesn't release fully!
It goes back just past the biting point so when revved some, at take off it rides the clutch unless i push the lever back with my fingers!
Is this a simple fix (which i hope it is) or possible master cylinder problem (which i hope it isn't)

Thank you in advance

Paul.

I had a similar problem a while ago but not quite as severe as u. Mine stuck on last inch or so of travel and slowly released. Can't remember if winter or summer yho. Squirted wd40 on it and it went away.....eventually. It didnt make clutch slip tho.

Boxergs could this be more from inactivity on the bike rather than a mechanical problem?

Thank you for quick reply

Paul

I think i found the cause of the problem! I removed the cover from underneath (2 screws) unbolted handguard and tied out of way,
unbolted the pivot bolt and found it has a plastic sleeve on it, I'm guessing that its a plastic bearing kind of thing!
Hopefully i can buy a replacement sleeve but suspect the sleeve only comes on the bolt!
Picture shows what I'm on about
