Hi all. I seem to have a couple of sticking pistons and I'm needing to sort them asap. Anyone done this before and know what tools etc I may need? It's a 2015 GSA te. Brembo calipers.

Compressed air where the bleed nipples goes in has worked for me in the past, I usually slide a soft piece of wood in between the pistons to make sure they don't fire out, then I rebuild them and clean them.

3 of mine were rock solid
Ended up drilling into the pot and twisting and pulling with copious amounts of wd40
15 min job to get them out.
Make sure you clean the ring where the orings go in, especially the larger one.
Then soaked in brake cleaner.

Fill the caliper with brake fluid before you put in back on.

No bitchy remarks from me.

Well that's a first, never seen anyone drill a hole in brake caliper piston good idea to get a stuck one out.
Am I right in thinking that you are replacing that piston with a new one .
If not shorly as soon as the piston is retracted it'll rip the seals to bits.

Get a grease nipple that fits the bleed nipple or brake pipe inlet. Amazing how few stuck pistons can resist a pump action grease gun.

Yeah I have read about this today. I don't actually own a grease gun. I do have a large compressor tho.

New kit was ordered
£105.00 each side
4 new pots and 8 o rings per caliper

I have managed to free mine off and they seem ok for now. I will get the kit soon as I feel it won't be long into winter and they will stick with all the salt . Did you get the kit from motoworks?

You can get brake piston pliers for around £12 that work on the inside of the piston. Generally a clean with wire wool or wet & dry saves having to buy new pistons.
