the gs is a fantastic allround bike ,make sure your happy with servicing costs before you buy,£400.00 for a 6000 mile service on a twin cam at North Oxford robbing gits
What else was done ? Is normally £250 for the 6000 mile service at NO

don't know where Zolton got his service price from,i just paid £406 at North Oxford for a 6000 mile service, they did say that a free health check was carried out (bollocks I paid for that) .When I picked it up mirror was loose, N O man said they must have knocked it ,yes they fixed it but that's my pride &joy there knocking about

OK, so here goes.
I wonder how many of the GS riders actually use the bike for the purpose it was designed, as I see loads for sale "Never riden off road", so why did they not buy an RT.
Or am I missing something?

If you want the economy angle RT 41mpg GS 52mpg?
But each to their own, one size does not fit all.
52mpg. How do people get these figures?? Are you all pushing it with the engine off? Mine stays pretty much 42mpg regardless of motorway/a road riding.
