Hi,
It's been a while since I was on but I'm looking for some help and to warn others !!.
'Just coming to the end of a 3 week trip from Glasgow thro' Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, germany, Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain. Heading back through Amsterdam and stayed at friends house in Amsterdam. Left the three bikes chained outside the house in a good bit of Amsterdam on Saturday night (5.6.11) and discovered it away at 0730 next morning !. It's a 09/09 Orange/black F800GS with a nearside motorrad black pannier still attached. I had taken the box and offside pannier in. The Reg is SG59TGO it in magic nick with heated grips, scottoiler, centre stand and computer. Am gutted and having to make my own way to Ferry (e90) and then home from Newcastle tomorrow - Insurance Company - La Parisienne - aren't returning my calls. According to Police in A'dam there is a spate of thefts in the city - ALL BMWs ! - so be warned. Also check your insurance re repatriation. I am covered three times over if the bike broke down or I was injured in a crash - but if it's stolen they are as slippery as a kippers arse !!

Really sorry to hear about the theft - Bl**dy thievin' scum are everywhere.

Fingers crossed it turns up............

I'm not proud as dutchy to hear this - so very sorry man!

Hope it turns out well for You.

I will post your case on our F800 forum.

Wish you well,

Rob

Spoke to Insurance company this morning - not interested - will send claim form through post and will settle after 4 weeks. They couldn't tell me what would happen if the bike is recovered so I'll just have to wait and see.
