Wanted Stop & Go tyre plug kit wanted

Your experience is obviously different to mine Ted. I've had so many failures with Stop & Go over the years (usually in the form of persistent slow leaks around the plug) that I gave up and went back to strings. For a while I carried both. Now just strings...

My experience is the opposite of yours. So it sounds like user related problems rather than the kit.
I had a car tyre that did over 20k with a mushroom in it with no leaking. On my RT I got a puncture coming home from having new tyres fitted. I was gutted, but a mushroom lasted the life of the tyre.

Don’t do it.

The logic of S&G seems strong. The real world experience is less so. The great thing about strings is that they just work.

S&G is like the idea of the soda-siphon cartridges instead of a pump. Sounds great in an ad. Terrible idea in the real world.

In the arse-end of nowhere, you want sticky strings and a pump that connects to your battery. End of.

Anybody that tells you different is better at repairing tyres than me.

I don't think it is user-error - but you never know.

I've had S&G repairs work. I've had S&G repairs fail. Can't think of an occasion when sticky strings didn't get the bike back to civilisation though...
