Anyone any experience of using these?

Thinking about buying one to keep in a pannier.
Seems from the instructions on the US Stop N Go website that they're used "dry", but I wonder if a bit of rubber cement might be a good idea?
Looks to be a bit easier to use and maybe a bit more durable than the BMW rubbery pluggy loopy things.
.............I know they're just a get you home / to a proper tyre repair facility.
