We were well impressed with stop n go when francis had puncture in Norn - easy peasy to use. Lasted the 500 miles home with no loss of pressure.
Has taken away any fear of puncture now for me.

i got a punture in our audi ttlast year on M42 , no spare wheel , just standard issue punture repair foam,( they call it progress ). repaired the tyre at side of the road took no more than 10 minsand 8 of those was the compressor pumping up thr tyre, 16000 miles later still going strong, cant recomend the tyre plugger enough, carry one in car and bike

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I got to use the kit on the way through Plymouth the other weekend when I picked up a nail in the back tyre.
Worked well when I re-read the instructions!
Points to remember:
Don't pull the nail out until you get to the airline on the garage forcourt (I remembered this one I'm pleased to say).
Try not to handle the plugs too much, as you will wipe off the lubricant with your fingers (ooh-err missus!).
Pay attention to the instructions with regard to inserting the plug into the insertion tool - you need to push the plug down into the tool backwards or it won't feed through the insertion tube into the tyre.
A bit of spit in the insertion tool tube helps the plug on it's way!
Be vigorous when reaming out the hole in the tyre - if you're timid, you won't get the insertion tool into the tyre.
Unless you've got the fingers of a Terminator, a pair of pliers or a good multi-tool will be needed to pull the plug stem back when it's in the tyre, to seat the head of the "mushroom" against the inside of the tyre.
I rode about 175 miles over the next two days and the tyre didn't loose any pressure at all. If it'd been a newer tyre, I'd probably still be using it with the plug to see how well it lasted over time, but the tyre was pretty squared off, so I had it replaced within the week - still no loss of pressure after 7 days of tootling around.
All in all, I'm very pleased I had it with me!
And if the kit is kept somewhere that it's exposed to any moisture, coat all the metal parts in ACF50 / WD40 as they have a tendency to rust, well at least mine's did anyway. Used it for the first time recently, great piece of kit.

Electric pump.
The CO2 cylinders can only be used once so another flat means you don't have any. The last time I used them it took three to get anything like a useable pressure in a rear tyre. What would I have done if the plug leaked? My electric pump is also used for top ups while travelling. I can't use the CO2 for that.
Also I only had to buy the pump once.
I use the glue in plugs but don't bugger about with the silly tubes of glue. Buy a pot from the link below and dunk the whole plug in it.

2"nail picked up on an alpine gravel pass last month.
Plugged hole after mucho reaming at the campsite that night. Took 30 mins, but next time 10 at most.
A further week spent hooning, and i mean not timid hooning later, and it's as good as a permanent fix.

Just used the Stop n Go kit for the first time to fix a puncture in my daughter’s car tire. plugged as easy as wink, no leaks I could find with soapy water and that plug’s staying in now till the tires changed!
That’s around £15-£20 saved on a normal tire repair or half the cost of the kit paid for depending which way you look at it.

MMM plugged a hole in my rear on Dartmoor a couple of years ago with Stop n Go. Tyre stayed up whilst parked at the Plune all weekend but rapidly lost pressure on the way home so that I had to stop PDQ and resort to the OEM BMW figure-eight-with-gloop. That lasted all the way back to Leicester where I had it professionally repaired.
I think we left too much of the plug exposed (no gloop) which allowed it to flex and loosen. I think with a good trim and a bit of gloop it would have lasted.

Used tyre plugger in italy last week on rear tyre with a 3" rivet shank in the tread at an angle ,reamed it into a straight hole an plugged it no problem and finished the tour an plugs still in and without any pressure loss ,also used my electric pump off the battery waking up some unhappy french campers at 8am,jobs a good un even an angled puncture can be fixed
Will now try on puncture on runflats on mini cooper S/bmw 1 series with confidence as and when

Glad to hear they work well,i got one after getting a puncture and being stranded for 2 hours waiting for recovery.Hopefully it will stay unused for a while

I'm just a GS wannabe at the moment but have used this kit twice and it has done the job admirably. The only improvements I've made are to add a small set of needle nosed pliers to help seat the mushroom and also to help pull out the nail or whatever caused the puncture.
On long trips I use a compressor but for everyday commuting I carry about 6 CO2 bulbs. I did however get a bulb adaptor with a open/close screw from a local cycle shop. This allows you to quickly swap between bulbs when re-inflating the tyre (if it's gone really flat).
M&P stock them too by the way.

I carry a plug set but for long tours I fit a new set of tyres and have puncturesafe put in, I have never tested it in anger but a mate has used it a few of times on tour either with his own bike or someone elses and swears by it.
I did find it caused a front end vibration at around 145mph on last bike, so no worries with the GS.
I always carry the plug kit, but when nearer home or just away for a weekend a puncture is less of a big deal, when riding al day every day in foreign lands I hope the puncturesafe will mean I never need to use a plug.
