Stop Press .... Urgent .... Buffet Saturday evening!

Geordie, I think he's the Chef at The Strontian Hotel, was looking forward to hosting us over the weekend.
He can organise a buffet for us on the Saturday night but we urgently need to know numbers, by tomorrow Friday.

I think the figure of £10 per person was mentioned.

If it's a goer we can have the Bar-B-Q maybe on the Friday evening.

I don't want to know if you're interested or not .... I want to know if you're up for it

I'll go with the flow Mick. 10 quid is fine by me, but I won't be there Fri for bbq.
If there is a bbq Sat I'll get some kit on my way, or if not I'll stump up a tenner for buffet, whichever. Just confirm whether or not the bbq will be in action on Sat.
If there IS a buffet....I'll be there, tenner akimbo...

I’m afraid I’m out. I’ve just had a flood of emails telling me they’ve broken a turbine in Cartagena so I’ve got to fly out on Sunday.

We’ve just cancelled the Airbnb and we’re just going to have to go out Friday and Saturday to run her bike in but I’ve got things to sort out in the evening because I’ve been slacking since I got home on Monday. It’s obviously a bad mistake to say I’m off for a few weeks

Evening Mick, We are happy to go with the buffet option but we'll take something to bbq as well just in case, and as you say Friday could be bbq night.
We are all adults and so should be able to make it all work out

I’m seriously pissed off but I can’t say no because they pay me on the understanding that if I’m needed I drop everything and go. Originally they told me to fly out tomorrow but that can’t happen because they need to get me a work visa and I’ve spent the afternoon printing and signing all sorts of forms to make it happen. One of the problems is that the legal team that deal with that side of things are 6hrs adrift of Spain so they get a very limited time slot to exchange emails then chase me around and I’m not going to play their games at 9pm in the evening when beer is calling

I knew it was too good to be true when they said I’m clear until the third week of June (it was originally mid July) and because I’m a bit of a wanker I decided not to book Friday and Monday off and keep my holidays to use later.

Never mind, there’ll be another weekend where we can share a few beers
