Strange rattling sound when moving

Folks,

My bike has started a strange rattle around 30-40mph in third gear, it's sounding like it's coming from down on the left hand side around engine casing but really hard to tell. Only just started this today once you crank her up its gone, slow back down and wind it up again and at this same speed strange rattle.

It's flippen annoying but can't see what the cause is, checked additional light fittings all seem ok so I'm at a loss as to what it could be??

Bikes a 2012 GSA twin cam and I've never noticed this before today.

Any thoughts?

It might be the engine crash bar mounts. When mine came loose, it knocked like the oil pump had failed.

Exhaust pipe clamp

Side stand

Centre stand

Wash the bike, by hand. Soon find if something is loose.

Aux lights may have been tilted/knocked upwards!

When I give the crash bars a thump with my hand there is a rattle sounds to be from the aux lights but they both feel the same and they appear normal and secure. Rear case of the lights appears to be deliberately loose or able to move must be for vibration. The bar fittings are all solid as are the under tray and heat shields.

My un-findable noise ended up being the panier mount lose on the frame. Odd part was it sounded for all the world like it was coming from the front of the engine!

As long as they don't touch the frame, mine do occasionally if I've brushed up against in the garage, hope you get it sorted.

My Left-hand GSA pannier case has a loose fit vertically. Its secure but rattles. I'd not noticed because they usually have stuff in them. Ot looks like I need some stick-on rubber pads.

I had a similar rattle from the fog lamps, which were tilted right back against the crash bars. I gave them a nudge forwards and the noise stopped.

+1. I had checked them and they were tight and not touching the engine bars but at certain revs the vibration caused a worrying rattle

My unfindable rattle turned out to be the screen vibrating against the Satnav at certain engine revs.

Might have just picked up a stone in the bash plate and now it's gone.
