Strange re-routing

I’m having an annoying one today. Plotted the route on my phone absolutely fine and set off without paying attention only for the navigation part to try and take me onto the M5:

That is odd.

I wonder if there are some roadworks / road closures on your intended route between points 2 and 3, which the app routed you around automatically? I am guessing this only because the second screenshot does a seven minute delay warning. I think that is what the warning is?

It might, I don’t know, have helped if you’d put more shaping points in between points 2 and 3?

Very. I think the navigation part just decided on a faster profile so more shaping points would fix it. Just annoying as the planning and navigation should align.
