Strange request

I decided to pamper the wife and provide her with a clothes-line for her washing ( taken 31 years btw ) .............. so I've decided to concrete in a piece of scaffold pole and so would need a length ymca) of about 10ft - 12 ft. Anyone on the Wirral or nearby who could spare/sell ( help a defenseless wife to have a normal life) a length to me ?
Don't think this warrants a go in the Wanted section so thought I'd just ask ( quietly ) here

If you cant blagg what you need, I often use the metal supermarket for small quantities, its no the cheapest but I can buy a 3 foot length rather than 18 foot from the stockists, nearest one to you is manchester, but there may be other similar companies.

When I had exactly the same need I just popped into a local scaffold hire company... they were happy to let me have a used one for 'a fiver in the charity pot'.
