I bought my current TB GSA a year ago.
This is the thing. I don't like it. I don't know why. I so regret letting my alpine white GSA go. But I don't know why?
All the memories on the white one are fantastic. This year I've covered over 10 K around Europe at least 12 countries on the TB but its all dull .
I know the TB is a dream bike and i should be happy. But I'm not.
Will I ever get over my Alpine white love affair ?
As soon as they release an Alpine white GSA with TFT ill have it.
Anyone else had that one bike they wished they'd not sold on......

That one bike....

I wish I hadn't sold ANY of them.

They all had good memories. Stop looking back and going over old ground with your new one.

Do something new, challenging and exciting. Time for a new relationship and memories.

Just change or vinyl wrap your panels, I think your bike looks great as is.

Yep, my old 13 plate alpine white with spoked wheels, one of the first of the Te Wc with the steering damper, it was at least as good as my new Rallye, someone just bought it from Pidcocks, maybe last week, let me assure you you’ve got a great bike..

A TB would not inspire me when I looked in the garage, sell it on and get another colour, even that colour on the exclusive would be better.

98 Africa Twin...bought a new 2007 R1200GS. Never regretted the GS, massively miss the old twin.

Must say 2013 wc gs 2nd one Aj sold, mint no steering damper, light flywheel before they killed it with the heavier one!! no esa just comfort pack, and a KEY to start it most strange, that was also white kept it a year and while in Rainbow for a service seen the new wc adv in blue had to have it,that only lasted 6 months.:blast:blast:blast:blast

If tb really bothers you go buy new gsa rallye. When sat on it it looks white as only tank sides and part of frame are blue. Would suggest though that this may not be a bike issue but where you are going and how you’re enjoying your rides ?

I have looked at the rallye and agree, I nearly went with it....
What you say about it not being a bike issue i think is spot on. Its where my head was all throughout the 18 months i had it that i think is making me feel this way? Im hoping in time ill begin to fall for my TB !

Sorry to say I’m contented with what I’ve got. Looking back my past was populated with ups and downs I’ve worked away (very away) from home as an engineer in the wild and woolly fish industry my eldest daughter just survived meningitis, lovely wife Linda developed a horrible cancer but survived thank God. Coming through sh** makes you realise priorities not colour of bikes na, type of bike well I like my old BM but whatever I’ve had I’ve enjoyed. Now I ride quietly most of the time on my own to see great friends who supported me when the times where tough.
I’ve learned contentment it makes my little world go around happily and I recommend it to all you guys.

Why not just swop out the tank and beak plastics for Alpine white panels? Cheap and reversible fix. Even cheaper, you could have them wrapped.

Nothing to do with the colour, it's in his head.

Something bonded to him on his old bike, and he hasn't yet had the same experience on the new one.

Changing the plastics colour won't change that.

It's in his head.

Maybe you need to sell up and give riding a break for a bit.

Give it chance to revitalise your enthusiasm.

Then start over with another bike with new adventures.

The people you meet and spend time with will make the difference as well.

Sometimes we need a change, just to rekindle some old fires. Try something like a 765 street triple. Riding should be fun, you are doing the right thing on the wrong bike, or, the right bike doing the wrong thing.
I go on long trips and day trips UK and Europe with or without the wife, sometimes just two people sometimes ten of us. You need to mix it up to keep it interesting.
If you ride alone, join a club. If you always ride with others, try a trip away by yourself, this really makes you have a word with yourself.
Best fun thing...get a dirt bike, challenging and exhausting, it brings back that big grin on your face thats been missing.
Ditch the tent. Hot shower, bar and comfy bed at the end of the day.
