ive had a fucking poxy day there's a big list ........but got the bike back and its in the garden but fuck me that alarm is coming off and what a weird key start up procedure fucking lights flashing alarm fob not working sirens not stopping. anyway battery now disconnected.

Good man, I was getting worried about you, but I'm new in here and not familiar with how hardened and tough you all are. 300 miles in November is a feckin long way!

Never new metal handgaurds existed till today but they do
Anyway up at 3.45 this morning left at 4 I think better check I’ve not had money gone from account oh hold on a minute bank app not working
( doing transfer not cash ) realize last night I updated the software on phone that’s caused the problem 
decide I’ll ring a mate to do a transfer for me
torrential rain all round m25 get to m3 dry as a done one downhill bit I was going faster than normal and a flash flash
look at speedo 95 only 6 weeks ago I got caught twice in one day
Anyway get there at 9 bike looks better in the flesh a bit rough around the edges but sounded ok didn’t bother test ride as couldn’t be bothered , load up and go have a look around not been to Devon as an adult really. Have to stop and disconnect battery as alarms been going off , I now know you can put in transport mode
Bad traffic going back stop at Stonehenge where the crustys camp
Finally get home about 6 pm cuppa tea unload bike start up for quick test ride get half a mile and it starts spluttering oh no fffs I should have test rode it. Carried on Kong’s out at bottom of hill a mile from home. No phone nothing . Try to start , it won’t , alarm starts and won’t stop, then realize I don’t have the fucking fob with me. It well of the seat when I started it.
Walk home get keys go back won’t start so must be petrol . Go home get mouth full of the stuff siphoning it out of a tank. My misses then gets in and she gives lift fill up bike it starts we go home. Turn off by the key the the stupid alarm goes off even though I’m there with it on the seat ??? Why ?
So after all that waffle I’ve done 2 miles hardly out of 3rd gear. Time will tell but the alarm bussiness has got to stop I like things to be easy and no dramas.

Put a new battery in the fob right away.

After a year of ownership and watching all the youtube clips about how to disconnect the battery without the alarm going off, mine still deafens me when I’m trying to do anything to the battery

With the fob present switch the ignition on and then off and before the alarm has time to reset/rearm disconnect the main fuse.
Then do what you want to the battery or anything else in complete silence.

Not the same with all bikes. My Dyna , fob present, turn ignition to on..kill switch to run...then disconnect...earth first....
Just checked...my RK is ignition on with fob present..pull main fuse....or disconnect battery...
