I am selling my SPIII and a propective buyer has asked a question I don't know.
I have got my helmet wired up with the autocom active smart 7, is it compatible??? I use it for the phone at the moment but will need the voice also.
I assume it is compatible, but would appreciate it if someone who knows for sure could confirm this. :thumb

Yes

But, if he's going to power the SPIII from the bike, he'll need a suppressed audio cable to attach the Garmin to the Autocom.

It was said, back in Dec 05, that it was critical that a suppressed audio link be used between the chaps Streetpilot 111 and his Autocom system. Why is this? Would it explain why I, with a Sonic system, get only buzzing in my headset when using the bike's 12v supply and a non-suppressed lead. If so, what is happening? It occurs whether the engine is running or not.
