Stubby fitted - thanks Pipey!

Lol, fair enough Eugene :D

I can't access the for sale section as I've not subscribed(yet). Out of interest how much are you selling them for?

I emailed CCC re their y piece only, no point really then.

£150 - but I don't want to anger the site admin pixies - do youself a favour and pay the subscription - you'll get your money back in good advice, humour and possible bargains 1000-fold.

Ever seen an angry pixie? - not a pretty sight ;)

Buying and selling in FS&W please - denny - a sub is a very good idea...

Pushy lot :ronno

I'm a lazy git, probably would have taken me a month or so to subscribe so thanks for the nudge :beerjug:

No. The stubby is really no louder than a standard exhaust, but has a slightly deeper tone. The only advantage of the stubby is the weight saving and the ability to have a full size pannier on the nearside.

Full size as in the larger system pannier? I've looking to replace my system panniers but I couldn't find racks that are 'closer' to the bike enabling full size pannier fit.

Full size system on both side...plus larger lids..

CC, where did you buy the larger lids? I am guessing it was from a BuMW dealer because I can't find any for sale online.

Yes, from a dealer, come as a kit ( I think they were called Global Lids), just need to drill out the rivets on the lid side of the hinges and replace with the nuts and bolts included...easy...:thumb

'Wide Load' stickers optional... ;)

Didn't want to start a new thread, hope you don't mind?

I just fitted my Remus Y Piece + Akrap can, which sounds great but I think I've screwed up a little. I took the Akrap off to see what the y piece alone would sound with a stubby on (not that I have one) & the result was scary...a nasty rasping snarl.

My plan was to butcher the TT racks off my XT660 to fit symetric on the GS, slap on the 40lt Ard Cases I have and use a stubby wıth the y piece.

So, can someone please tell me if a stubby will make any difference to the noise eminating from the y piece? I'm guessing a big fat no! I want to keep the y piece but will have to remove it if it doesn't work with a stubby.

Stubby will only work with the Cat still on...:thumb

This Thread shows what I did to free up the cat a wee bit...

Thanks Coolcarbon, really useful that :thumb2

Time to put the Y Piece up for sale and source an old cat me thinks!
