stubbys

You could always try one of these......:D

It's made by Remus and is for a GSX-R 600, it will fit straight on and you can get one here:

http://www.straightlineracing.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Remus_1190.html

It's the one at the bottom of the page and when I bought mine the cost was £54 delivered.. (for the end cone only). Give them a call and speak to Steve (i think). They have sold a load to GS riders so they know which ones to supply.....:thumb

Sorry for the slow reply, been working.

Yep totally agree with you the 1200s not worth the trouble at the mo (the exhaust that is).

Not got any stubbys at the mo but if you want one PM me and I'll sort another 6.

Pete

PS that GSXR 600 pipe looks good

Hi Sado,

Spoke to the guys' at straightline, mmmm, tad confused. Can you tell me how long your cone is in cm's? and is your bike the r1200 or the r1150gs. I was told they only do one for the r1200.....

I was given a cost of £126.00 delivered.....

Thanks Sado

Hi Patch GS 1150..

My ride is an 1150 GSA but the end pipe is made by Remus for a Suzuki GSX-R 600. When you call them you need to explain that you want the end pipe that I posted in the link above. As you will see from the bottom picture (on the link) It is fitted to a K5/6 GSX-R 600. IT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR THE 1150GS BUT IT WILL FIT IN PLACE OF THE ORIGINAL CAN...:thumb

I had stubby made at my local garage and it cost me just a fiver. Because I have the superior DIY friendly 1150 gsa, fitting the stubby was very straight forward and the dyno showed that my bike required no remapping; I even get a little extra in mid band, which was a pleasant surprise and quite noticable. I was then able to ditch the useless and rediculous looking n/s pannier and fit a full one. The whole thing is a great success and obviously, I'm really pleased. As long as I don't stall with the stubby under water, I have no problems at all and let's face it, that's not likely to ever happen. Apart from the pannier mod, other plusses are: a real bike-like exhaust note but not at all load; just a pleasant rumble, a loss of about 7.5 KG, extra horses, improved looks, the funny numbers are stamped into the CAT, so my bike stays road legal and passes mots and emissions tests. Job's a goodn.

Tell you what, you go and try to make one,and then see how much you get for £54

Ooooo...shirty. Why don't you read upward (freerace)

Yea right, and I suppose Remus hand mould each and would never get them made in China, where, I might add, they would be made for pennies. And yes, I do have experience with sourcing goods and tooling from China..:D

And another thing, upon calling them, they want £126.00 NOT £54.00 - scandelous

And lastly, I have sourced one for £12.50

Hi Patch

I have just spoken to these guys http://www.calsport.co.uk/ who also sell the same stubby. They will supply it for £48 delivered. You can see it on their site, just follow the links for Suzuki GSX R 600 K6/7.:thumb
