Help!!!!!!
I foolishly left my 1991 R100GS Stand unused for 5 or so months :blast
I have just tried to start it, not only were the float bowls caked in an appalling waxy goo, but worst of all it appear to be stuck in gear.
I had no neutral light, nothing new there. I pulled in the clutch lever in still no joy.
I am now in need of some sound advice, sell it!!!!
Failing that either a sacrificial burning or a quick fix would be that prefered option.
Prior to the lay up all had been fine.
I'm now off to sulk and try and find some :comfort

It should be possible to jog it into neutral e.g. by rocking the rear wheel back and forth while it's on the centre stand and working the gear lever; alternatively, if it needs a bit more oomph, get it off the stand, hug the bike with your right arm and while stooping, work the gear lever with your left hand while rocking the bike gently back and forth 'against' the static gearbox/engine.

Once it's in neutral, if you can start it, let it run on the centre stand until it really heats up. The differential expansion of the flywheel and clutchplates during the warm up should free them up (typically with an audible muffled 'bang'). At least, it's worked for me in the past.
