stunning for many on a Saturday night when they are tasered
Sarajevo’s interesting Had a few days there a couple of years back. Brewery. Good food. Remains of the Olympic bobsleigh run. Lots of war museums. And the place where WW1 began.
Train ride to Mostar is outstanding, one of the most scenic rail journeys on the planet. Mostar is interesting. In a post apocalyptic sort of way.
Probably not for kids under say 20.
But much nicer than Clacton.

Not that close, but the Croatian islands are amazing (1200 of them and I’ve only been to Hvar). Krka National Park (near Sibenik) good for kids as Game of Thrones filmed there. Krajina fascinating place too - as frontline of war. You’d never know though with peaceful tranquility now.
