Stupid Rocker Cover Question...

Okay, I've relented and decided to get the Adv's rocker covers re-painted.

After getting them off the bike this morning, I'm a little confused by the four captive bolts. In order to remove them, do I just pull hard, to allow the grommets they sit in to pull out of the cover? - or is there some, less obvious, solution?

While we're at it, how does the plastic 'bayonet' receptacle for the filler cap come out?

Any ideas?...

Brute force, Mike......... honest

The four bolts will pull out with a bit of encouragement & you can push the oil filler collar out from underneath as it is held in by an o-ring & possibly some sealant.
