would the 100GS subframe fit a 80g/s mono frame? i have a bit of a quandry:nenau. when i bought my mono it had been buggerd about with, GS tank ( which i do prefer the look of ) GS seat and i think the rear of the mono sub frame had been cut off:eek: so no grabrail or rack, i think a secondhand mono subframe would be harder to come by and then possibly my seat wont fit, then if i managed to find a mono seat it wouldnt fit the tank etc etc:blast, trying to keep the cost down!! im quite happy for it to be non standard.
allong the same sort of lines , i have fitted low level twin pipes , i now think this might allow me to fit some pannier rails with boxes of the same size, maybe r80 or the like, maybe some modification would be needed on the rails?
any thoughts from you guys? im undecided on how to sort out my rear end:censor:!

My guess would be not without a bit of fiddling and fettling. If they were the same then motorworks etc would of been selling the seats to fit all models between both the mono and paralever range. This does not seem to be the case.

In fact it might be worth phoning motorworks and asking them they are normally very helpfull in this regard :thumb2

thanks , yea i ll give them a go tomorrow. as i said, i all ready have the 100 seat on the bike,(fits the tank ok) thats why i think the original subframe has been chopped so the 100 seat could be bodged on. im hoping that if the 100sub bolts to my frame then i can buy the proper fittings for the seat (hinge, catch etc,not sure exactly what i need yet)
basicly,i was hoping someone had tried a GS sub on a g/s frame:blagblah

hi Steveo, there is a thread on adv rider oldschool. I think someone on there has tried the subframes. i am not sure how much the rear mudguard need altering as well.

colt , many thanks, ideal that is:thumb2, now i can just source a GS sub and dont have to fund a g/s sub, tank and seat. i dont use side panels and my low slung 2>2 pipes should not be an issue fowling the slightly different GS sub frame.
now.........any one got one for sale:augie

would the 100GS subframe fit a 80g/s mono frame? i have a bit of a quandry:nenau.!

From direct experience of the project in my shed - I have put an 80g/s subframe on a 100GS - bolted straight on - so by definition it will work the other way around!!

cheers

-Pete
