I went with the Touratech risers, no need to adjust cables:thumb

When you say they make a big difference, is this just purely height, comfort, angle of the dangle, handling?

I've also ordered these as I'm tall but my height is more in my body than my legs if that makes sense - 6'1 with a 32 leg so I'm more comfortable with the higher bars is what I figure. I think the difference is 15mm so quite a bit in terms of bike ergonomics.

For me, they are more comfortable as I have lower back issues. I can spend the day on the bike without having backache, whereas on my last bike, before I fitted the risers, I would ache for days. The risers were fitted to my LC before I collected it, so I've not ridden one without them, but the ergonomics are spot on for me with them fitted.:thumb

That's interesting.

When I test rode a new GS I had the familiar "GS twinge" in my lower back at the end. Something I used to suffer with at the start of each season until I adjusted to riding again and still used to come back occasionally at the end of long days in the saddle.

Maybe a set of risers would cure it altogether

I have the old model 1200 and went the machine art fender extenda and added a small mud flap it does the job of keeping most the crap and all of the stones off the front of the engine and access is not restricted when washing the bike.

This is what I used on my previous GS and swapped it over to my GSA, keeps 99.9% of the road crud off the bike, and looks factory with a perfect match of the factory plastic.

The Cymarc crud catcher is also an excellent bit of kit if Mark is producing for the wethead?
