Hi,
My 1100 has been running very rich for a while and I finally got round to taking it to the dealer to let them suss out what is the matter. I wasn't expecting the phone call that I have just received. Could somebody help me with the following questions:
Would adjusting the tappets and replacing the fuel filter help with her running rich? Is re-setting the motronic by pulling fuse 5 worth a go?
The main thing that I wasn't expecting was that apparently my front brake master cylinder has leaked and has done so all over the front brake light switch. The dealer has given me a quote for replacing the master cylinder and the switch, but on the email says that the switch is done in conjunction with having the tank off while they do the fuel filter.
I'm confused as the Haynes doesn't mention taking the tank off to do the switch!
Is the master cylinder leak a common thing and if it is, how easy is it to fix?
Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully answer,
DA
