Suggestions for the best winter glove

You are asking the wrong question.

The correct question is, "what pair of summer gloves should I use with my warm, dry & snugly Tucano Urbano muffs I bought from Val?"

And if it's really cold, Hein Gericke's 2 finger pathan gloves are good. I've used them for a few years. I did need them some days over this last winter.

I was just about to suggest the summer gloves & muffs... but someone has beaten me to it!

In Nov, I fitted a set of the muffs from Val and since then I've not bothered with the winter gloves. :thumb2

Best Winter Handware.

I was skiing in Aspen, Colorado two weeks ago, and I bought a pair of mitts. Yes, Mitts. 85 US dollars.
I know they are not seen as quite, to put it mildly, fashionable, but they are warm in the coldest conditions, and a whole lot more practical than handlebar muffs.

I've got the Pro Winter 1 series, and they're quite frankly the best gloves I've used in cold weather. However, during true snowy conditions I also use Wunderlich handlebar muffs - and if colder than minus 10 Centigrade I always use fleece-lined Hestra mittens.

I also recommend these. They feel a bit weird at first but you soon get used to them.
They are also useful at Star Trek conventions and allow you to touch up lobsters without them getting suspicious.

They might well keep your digits warm but I suspect that they offer about as much impact protection as a wet paper bag and probably not a lot more abrasion protection. :(

I bet you've done your Christmas shopping already as well!
