Pity mirrored visors are illegal on the road. With a clear visor my tiny head would look really stupid surrounded by that huge dome.

Can't play the banjo either.

CC,

I might be missing something here (wouldn't be the first time I've been a bit :blast ) but why would I wear something different?

Cheers,

Possibly...:D

My tongue was firmly in my cheek....:)

Why would you specifically mention the need for kit in Scotland when the Weather is as bad or worse south of the Border.....;)

CC,

Because they all assume (incorrectly of course:D ) that the weather is crap north of the border. Easiest way to describe what I wanted the kit to be able to cope with.

Rukka armadillo

I bought the Rukka Armadillo from a german company advertising on ebay.
The suit is brilliant and far cheeper than uk price.
The suit keeps you cool in the sum and dry as a bone in bad weather.
We just returned from Ireland this weekend and we had mixed weather from red hot to torrential rain.
I cannot rate this kit high enough.
some of the group had hein gerrick and all had various leaks and complaints.
Rukka,s not cheap but takes some beating
good luck
