Well, there I was, getting my boiler suit on before crawling under my 1998 Toyota '90-Series' Landcruiser to cut out rotten inner sills when I heard a bike . . . .

I saw someone in a white suit . . . could it be "The Stig" ??

No, it was "Scotboxer" on his recently-acquired 1988/89 (F-Reg) R100GS.

I wheeled my 1988 100GS out and we compared notes:

I needs a bit of a tidy-up but its a fine bike, I've no doubt I'll be seeing more of it while the sun shines (not sure about the suit though ).

After a bit of 'chin wag' Peter headed off to South Queensferry (3 miles away) to take photos of the bike with the Forth Rail Bridge as a backdrop. Maybe they'll appear here soon .

Good to see another Paralever on the road.

Nice to see them together Bob. Are you attending the SCMC run this year? Final route tbc but will be the usual c.100 miles. Starting at the Dalmore Hotel, Blairgowrie, Sun. 26th. June, 10.00 for 11.00. Bacon rolls at my place beforehand!

I was intending to . . . BUT . . .

Its Highland Show week and No.1 daughter is showing her horse on the Friday and again on the Sunday - 26th .

The horse is a menace and she needs an entourage in attendance to keep an eye on him. I also HAVE to take photos of her in the Show Ring.

So, no bike outing for me.

I missed the Spring Gathering as well as it always clashes with the Ariel Owners' MCC's 'Long Distance Run' and I was returning from Devon.

I dinnae need to wear a twat suit to look a twat! Probably the only day in the year I'll get to wear my bargain summer suit though. Cannae imagine why it was so cheap!

Anyway, the bike runs well. Really enjoying the lack of weight compared to the RT. Taking it up to Glenfinnan next week for a proper try out. Will stop for a cuppa next time Bob!
