300 miles since a service at a Motorrad dealer somewhere near, and I discover a pool of fresh oil in the sump guard.

It turns out that the sump plug was loose - is this normal?:blast

Don't think I've ever had a sump plug that loosened itself off. You have checked the other things they meddled with?

Or asked them to come and check it over?

More of these pesky half arsed thieves have moved from the 1200 section.

Has it got copperslip on it :D

Had they put a new aluminium crush washer on it and had it been crushed?

No not Manchester (although I had my old bike serviced there before selling it - the new owner discovered the air filter almost completely blocked - not bad for a £200 service bill!).
This was Oxford where I bought the bike from.....:rob

Oh, Oxford..... I have no bad experiences of them...... unlike Williams Manchester.
Bluebell were fine and so has been Chester Motorrad so far.......;)

It's obvious they ain't tightened the sumpnut to the correct torque.
Flame them!
