Sun 23rd August Trails Yorkshire

Andy, what route are you thinking of taking??

Probably going to be some variation on the last one unless you've any other ideas - was hoping to find some alternatives but the world is currently conspiring against me time-wise (should have had a free day tomorrow but that's now not the case).

Hi Andy, sorry cant make this one, cant get the time off work:(

hope you guys have a great day out:thumb2

Best of luck on your new steed, hope someone gets their camera out:thumb

How was France:Motomartin:ChrisKelly

Shame you can't make it but hope to see you another time. France was definitely lots of :friday mixed in with a few hundred miles of nice smooth French roads with not a lot of traffic :augie

I would prefer to do some others in that area or some in the Dales (with a different RV of course)

As mentioned I'm not going to be in a position to look at anything else other than on paper before then so would be open to any suggestions for what's feasible, obviously I can look at Trailwise but that's no substitute for experience.

I'm also entirely happy to switch to the Dales or Wolds if you're willing to oblige (and if the others can make it).

Well there's the ride I did 3 weeks ago around Thirsk/Helmsley/Malton and Driffield, which I can do from memory

RV would be Thirsk market place

I'd be happy with that or a Moors loop, what do others think as I'm happy to go with the majority.

Thirsk/Pickering are only 10miles different for me to travel too, so I'm good either way, just confirm the meeting place so I don't go to the wrong place :p

From a purely selfish point of view I'd prefer the Malton/Driffield area as I was on a TRF ride round the moors last week, but I'll happily go either way.

Right I'll make an executive decision

As things stand I'm free for this but am nursing a shoulder injury which I have no idea where it came from. On the mend though and look forward to joining you.

It will be a steady day, without too much technicality

Emphasis is on having a good day out without spending all the time on your backside

Bikes all good, 'gaffa' tape packed + hydration pack.

Setting off at around 8:30 (70mile ride, and Tk80's don't like motorway speeds 65+) so I'll be hanging around the memorial at Thirsk Market Place aprox 9:45 onwards.

Cya tomorrow.

Boo hoo I have a cricket match tommorrow would have enjoyed this run maybe next time :blast

Have fun peeps!

I'm at home dog sitting all day

Slightly comfier than the HP!

Well, just got the bike washed off,jet washed myself whilst i was at it,don't know how i got that muddy?Although i am led to believe there is video evidence.
Great bunch of guy's fantastic day, marred only by the fact that AndyE was having a few problems with his bike and had to retire early.
Once again thanks Johnny some great trails and lanes (Secret Roads)a brill day.
