myself and gsgirl are flying to nice in morning with a few mates for a few days biking around monaco or there abouts :D.
we hired a tdm 900 and the lads got sv650s and gs650 (old type). the forcast is 23 degrees and sunshine :bounce1.

Well, I hope ye have a ball, plenty of sun-screen now.:rob

Forget Monaco, head for Cap D'Antibes, Juan Les Pins and Villefranche Sur Mer

And for some twistys The road up the mountain out of Vence and St Paul D'Vence!!

Also some great roads to the west of Mandelieu-La Napoule on the western side of Cannes bay.

I'm just back. No bike though :( . We spent most of time up in the Tinée/Mercantour but we kept saying that next time we'd be on bikes. Some great pistes as well if you're into that kind of thing.

Monaco!...I bet you don't stay long. You are only a hop from the famous Route Napoleon, go up and have a coffee in the sun in Castellane village square:thumb

the trip

we arrived back yesterday, the weather was sunshine all the way thank god.
we collected the bikes as arranged at the airport, two TDM 900 only six months old and three new model gs650. the other guys with me know nothing about bikes, except they can ride them:augie, so i gave them the once over........

thats the back sprocket on the 650gs with 8k on the clock, it was sorted very quickly and we went on our way. we headed for castallane and stopped for the night in a local boozer :beerjug:. some of the lads got up at seven am :mmmm to climb up to an old church way up on a huge rock on its own.
we then headed for the gorge de veronne, the scenery is amazing, the roads are even better. (can you see the climber in red )

we then headed to moustier along more amazing roads, ( i will post more photos when i download me camera), then back to nice to sort out digs before heading to monaco. we stopped in casino square to have a look at the flash cars and possuers parading around the place:cool: legged back to nice after about half an hour for grub and drink :beerjug:
all in all i would strongly recomemend a trip to the gorge de veronne, it has to be seen to believed. :thumb2

As my nephew told me a few years ago..... Nice 'IS" nice!

Anyways, where did you hire the bikes? Got a website?

I did the same thing in Barcelona this Summer and last year.... great way to do it and worked out cheaper in the long run.

Moto Hire ?

I'm going to Nice on 26th for 9 days, can you pass on the web address of the hire company please? Looks like I should cash in some brownies and take off on a few day trips.

Cheers:beerjug:

the company is holiday bikes, bang it in to google and the site is in french and english.:moped:
the 650gs comes with topbox, tdm900 with topbox and panniers.
