Surging and more

Can anyone explain to me what "surging" means? I am sure that I know the phenomenon, it´s just that I don´t understand the word, nor does Google translate.


I have been monitoring this forum, Gumtrees, ebay.co.uk and more for few months in order to get familiar with prices and availability of the GS 1100 and the 1150 bikes in the UK. It seems that not many 1100 bikes in great/excellent condition are available and that there are more GSA bikes available than “standard” GS bikes. Am I right here? Have more GSA´s been imported into the UK than “standard" GS bikes?

You need to type surging into here plenty or threads,it's a phenomena that means you've got throttle at a constant opening,but the bike jerks about as if it's been opened & closed slightly,simply caused by lean fueling only at slow speeds/low revs (fucking EUs emissions fault) can be fixed with remap,power commander,plug in module better of with decat & proper exhaust can.

Very good explanation given re surging! Suggest you place a wanted add for 1100gs as I know there is a very good one that a forum member has that is not being advertised that he may sell. In any case, good luck in finding the bike your after.

I will when the time comes. It´s a bit to early now. I have a job that is very demanding, especially during the period from mid-November to mid-March. Has to do with monitoring ice and snow levels on Reykjavik roads and acting against it day and night. I will place wanted ads and seriously start looking at bikes after this period. Almost 4 months to go.
