I just got back from A+E after getting an ear bending from the wife to go when I showed the bruise when I got in...:augie

I had a good day and sheer misfortune to slip and hit the only pointy tree trunk on that section. Thank heavens I threw on my armadillo back plate on this morning cos it could have been lots worse:augie and I would have looked even more of a knob. Never ridden on sand before that's interesting:eek: to be avoided like the plague or just need more space so when you get it wrong you don't stuff into all the protected heather:augie

Also my wilbers shock has to come off and be replaced with a custom build it's too tall and the front end need to come up so all in all good research trip.

Thanks thanks for a good day out:thumb hope to meeting up again. and many thanks for helping pick the bike up.

Oh yeah when I walked the bike back down the hill cos of all the on and off with the ignition the battery was really struggling so after a sit down and gathering of thoughts I had the joys of bump starting the HP so I've got a cracked rib and a heart attack to boot. Bonus!

Then got lost was going to head on the road section to meet up with the guys but went wrong should have taken the GPS :blast ended up in Farnham:nenau

there you go I'm now gonna have a some Volterol:thumb have a bath and go to bed:thumb

really don't think inflicting my white, blotchy torso is gonna make yer new years any better. I was just wondering if I made any sense in between all the swearing that was going on in my head?

Also I've had this wierd blocked ear thing which started last February well dropping myself on the head seems to have cleared that up:thumb2... which is another good point to come out of this little saga.

enjoy the new year and hope 2008 brings something nice for everyone.

I'm now officially staggering off to have a good time, well as best as you can when your me.

Lo-IQ has left the forum (you can now all start to laugh)

Bloody fantastic day! Hard work on the 1150 Adv especially as I wasn't match fit with all the Chrimbo drink and nosh but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A big thanks to the guy who managed to save me from a crunched ankle and and for the geezer who shared his water supply when I'd drunk mine dry.

And a big hats off to Jarv for some great routes which really pushed me and probably brought me up a level. If they where dry they would have been interesting enough on the 1150, but full of mud & shite...extremely interesting and bloody rewarding especially the boggy uphill section where Dave toppled his 1200.

Glad LoIQ came out fairly okay. Could have been a lot worse fella.

My home PC has blown up but I'm scrounging a few minutes on my mates keyboard as me and Sue are seeing in the New Year round his place with as gathering and a few beers.

Happy new year guys and thanks to all for a top day's ride out in the muck.

Have just had a look at the DVD footage Mike took, most of it is a bit wobbly, but ther eis a great bit where one of the guys on a 650GS (not sure who it was) drops his bike in the drink only to pick it up and drop it back in the other way! If we can figure out how to add footage to this site we will (may need your help Greg).

I've sent an e-mail to Martin.

I'll ensure that the footage is on here as soon as I can!

Thanks for a great day out, i'd only done 50% of the lanes before, the rest where fantastic, especially the last one.

Impressed with the guys on the bigger bikes, glad to hear that the one on the HP2 is OK. I'm still washing the mud of my kit from giving one of you a push though!

I'm going to arrange a day out in Kent for late February, so keep your eye out for the thread, nothing quite as challenging as Saturday, but plenty of mud and slippery chalk.

Cheers

Martin

Err, that'll have been me that bathed you in the mud then, thanks again Martin. :beerjug: are definitely on me when the opportunity arises! Another great day and :clap again to Jarv for helping me discover even more routes virtually on my doorstep! I have the trail in gpx format from the Zumo so if anyone wants a copy let me know ok. Looking forward to the next one!
