I thought some might be interested in some information sent round work today.
"Dear All
For your information - we have been informed of the following:
Drivers on the A24 and A272 are likely to be stopped by police in the coming weeks. However, motorists should not be alarmed, police are helping county council officers carry out a traffic survey. West Sussex County Council is planning improvements to the A24, and wants to ask drivers about their journeys.
Derek Whittington (Con.Fontwell), cabinet member for strategic resources and transport, said "These surveys form a key part in ensuring the proposed improvements to the A24 between Ashington and Southwater are the right solution".
A police officer will be on hand to ask drivers to pull over to take part in the survey."
