An old 600 teapot; they were good all rounders in their day;; and for that money actually finding one that's all there an art in itself; enjoy and good luck; From my 2024 R1300GS TE that cost me over £21000 when I bought it new, now sold, to this that just cost me £250, languishing in a neighbours garage for the last five years.
I couldn’t be happier having something to tinker with, got it three days ago and it’s already in pieces.

Just get a tank sealing resin kit. I did that for my GSX1400 and problem solved.Just discovered today that the fuel tank is goosed, it had bubbles in the paint around the top half. I’ve drained the old fuel out which was horrible and discovered the inside of the tank is very rusty in the top half whilst the bottom half that had fuel in it is perfect. This could significantly increase my initial £250 spend.
Is that Thomas the Tank Engine down the bottom of that track? From my 2024 R1300GS TE that cost me over £21000 when I bought it new, now sold, to this that just cost me £250, languishing in a neighbours garage for the last five years.

No, it’s king fu panda….. zoom in a bit.Is that Thomas the Tank Engine down the bottom of that track?![]()

Bloody el; i've never seen out like that before; it's usually the seams that rot out along the bottom. The little paint bubbles in the upper part of the tank turned out to be at least 40 pin holes, the photo shows a few. Ive cleaned out the rust with white vinegar soaking for 72hours. Also secured a replacement tank (blue unfortunately) but that’s £100 added to my initial £250.
I’ll try to repair this one.

Saw exactly the same on both my father in law's GPz750r and on a friends RVF400 (NC35) after about 10 years in storage. New tank time.... not cheap on the RVF... and he scrapped the GPz IIRC....Bloody el; i've never seen out like that before; it's usually the seams that rot out along the bottom.
