Just taking the SW Motech engine bars off me bike so it's ready for a service. When i took them off i noticed that the L/H top mount had been rubbing on the oil cooler pipe.

Think before they go back on i'll be filing a bit off the bar.

Might be worth having a quick check, Don't think the results would be good if the pipe wore through or fractured.:(

There should be a thick washer supplied with the fixing kit which avoids this happening. Was it with yours?

Yep, Bars fitted as per the destructions. This is about as good a pic as i can get from the front. The spacer would fit between the two red lines. It would appear that ,in my case, the spacer doesn't move the bars far enough apart. Probably manufacturing tolerances on either the bike or the bars. To be honest looking at it, you wouldn't be able to fit them at all if you missed the spacer out.

I've been posting about this for a while. I've fitted another spacer, but at the front (between '5' and the bar in the diagram above). Others have had the same problem (correct parts used and fitted correctly). I suspect that many others are affected, but aren't aware.

I have fed this information back to NN; hopefully he will have passed it 'up the line', and to new purchasers.

Good pictures, by the way.
