SW Motech Pro Tank Ring for R1300GS

The rings themselves are identical. They also replied to me and told me as such 🤦🏻‍♂️ they said the only difference is when you buy the 1300 part number you get the 6mm spacer included (for the same price)
Unless of course they modified it without actually updating the parts list of course. 🤣

But given they told me they didn’t sell the spacer separately then changed their tune anything’s possible lol

Did anyone resolve which part is needed to move from a 1250 to a 1300?

Motech have 3 size plates to fit under the bags to lift them....6mm....12mm or 18mm

Has anyone bought the pro ring specifically for the 1300 and what size height plate comes with that kit?

Thanks

I just bought the plate and moved the ring across from my wife’s R1250. A single 6mm plate seemed to be sufficient to clear the cubby hole.

It was £8.99 for the plate from power sports warehouse

My set up cam with the 6mm plate - that fits fine without any issue..
To be more specific.
Without the 6mm plate I could still get the bag to attach but it was tricky to get a secure fix - with the plate it was much easier.

The WP Pro City 9L bag needs to extend off the tank a fair way to clear bars.
The Pro GS 16L bag fits much better in my opinion (but not waterproof).

Would a 12mm be any better regarding the fixing on of the bag?

I can't see any reason why it would be better - other than if you want more clearance off the tank.
At 6mm in my case - both bags slot on without hesitation for a firm and secure fix (y)
