After some info if anyone has it, Needed to get the Fixed Pivot pin out, and yes used loads of heat etc etc, but upshot was that the pivot bolt was knackered in the process of removing it, so much that there is none of it left fit to measure, I am after the diameter and pitch of the pivot pin, we managed to get it out without to much damage to the threads on the gearbox, but I want to chase the threads out, however cant find on line anywhere the size, local dealer were no help either. Anyone know?

I have a feeling it was M32 - I've had to do the same for a mates bike.

We went to Maynards Engineering on the A46 near woodchester and we hired a suitable tap for the day for £5. Iirc to buy one was nearly £50. If you take the new pin to them they will find the correct tap for you to hire.

That good, as the reason the clutch needed doing was an oil seal in the gearbox let the oil out and contaminated the clutch plate, and Stroud Motorcycle who are ex BVM and have all their tools etc, are putting the new seal in as I dont have time, and they are just up the road on the A46 so I will have a look at them, still like to know the size if anyone knows though.

Does Mike not have a tap or an idea? I'm sure it was him who pointed us in the direction of the size of tap when we needed it....

The nut on the adjustable side is M24x1.25, what I can't remember is if the pins are the same on both sides. This info from RealOEM so accurate.
