hi, i want to fit some oxford hothands heated grips on my 1200gs rear grab rails so my son doesn't freeze his hands off!
the question is how can i wire them so they switch off when the ignitoin is turned off as we will forget to turn them off at some point!
i'm just feeling a bit cautious with the canbus system as i don't want to mess up the whole bike.
would it be possible to wire it to the accessory socket or would that overload the system? any advice would be welcome
thanks

Make sure you wrap some insulating tape around the grab rails first, or the paint will get discoloured.

Fitted mine 3 years ago and used the waterproof switch which comes with Hothands (fitted into topcase rack as per picture). Initially connected straight to aux socket but found the current draw would shut down socket so now wired via relay - works a treat
