Does anyone know if it is possible to switch the headlight off. I'm doing the HRT trackday at Cadwell and they require you to run without headlights.

cheers...Rob

Nicked from Mouse's post in teh 1200 FAQ section...

How to turn off the dipped headlight - or rather cause it not to turn on in the first place.

Turn on ignition

Hold down indicator cancel button for 5 seconds

Hold down right indicator button for 5 seconds

Start engine

ta la - I'll give that a try

This can be done with the engine running as well, but only while the bike is stationary. It will leave the pilot light on and the rear light on too.

not really

could you just pull out a fuse? or disconnect the bulbs.?

as the 1200 does not have any fuses!! ;)
As to undoing the bulbs, most would think that wasn't too practical! :D
Anyway- as you turn off the ignition, the system resets and dippped beam returns on next ignition.

Worked a treat both with and without the engine running. Do I have to switch the ignition off and on to restore them or is there another sequence to put them back on??

Robb

just switch off ignition completely and then restart - will go back to normal...
