The tinted drop-down visor on my system 6 is a bit smeared. What's the best thing for cleaning it? It seams a bit fragile to me!

Shuberth C3 the same - seems to be treated with an anti-fog coating. Bought some Muc Off visor cleaner today so I'll try that next....

Plexus plastic polish - I use it to clean inner and outer visors on my system 6 (not the inside of the pinlock). Makes outer screen water repellant as well. :)

Hello all,

I used bob heath cleaner or v wipe on black visor C3 Schuberth, smeared or fogged it. Wifes similar problem:blast:tears

So tried something called applesauce meant for cleaning ipod screens I think.
Worked real well.
Not sure I have any left but will look and post further details.

Remove visors and wash in warm soapy water then final clean with Mr Muscle Window & Glass. Have been doing that for years with no problems....:D With Sytems 4/5/6

Missed the point. It's the drop-down sun visor which is the subject. Don't believe system 4and5 had one.

The manual explains how to get it out.. I use a plastic guitar pick to pop it out of the small points where it's held on each side.

Wash in mild soap solution, pat dry and reinsert.. Pretty easy really.

Says not to use any harsh chemicals or cleaners.

My system 5 has the drop down sun visor, (my old C2 Schuberth did as well about 8 years ago), it unclips and is as easy to clean as the visor itself, as above, gently with warm soapy water, then some aircraft instrument polish but that plexus stuff will do equally well.

The best way I found was to breath on it and polish with a clean cotton hanky. Can be done without removing it.

Pity that Schuberth don't make a lighter tint for the internal visor. I find that it is much too dark when riding in and out of the shade.

Didn't miss the point, I was refering to how I clean my visor or visors as the case may be.

Ok - sorry!:thumb2

Time to clean mine again. Riding home from work this time of year on the M4 westbound means heading into the low sun (when it's out). And its showing how mucky the sun visor is. Weekend job I think.
