The best I have ever had

As a resuilt of a reply on this forum I obtained a System 6 helmet , via my brother in the UK, from Chandlers in Portslade , Brighton for a price approximately £200 less than it is in France; That paid for the air fares for my wife, daughter and myself - "aller et retour" and plenty of change - thanks to Easyjet. (we were coming over anyway of course.)
All I can say is that it has dramatically reduced buffeting and noise and on my first journeys on the autoroute I noticed how the rest of the traffic seemed to have slowed down - before I looked at the speedo and thought seriously about radar etc.
Of course the French ones are slightly better because they have the reflective strips in place. Anybody got any ideas to liven up mu gloss black helmet (goes with my black 1200GS) - for less than a couple of hundrd pounds? (Yes there will be a discreet union jack on the back.)

I tried on and loved the System 6 helmet but my chin is too close to the front of the helmet for comfort. It this just my elongated chin or has anyone else found a similar issue? If feels like if I fell on the front of the helmet the first thing to go would be my jaw bone. Annoying as I really want a System 6 :tears

I had the same problem with the BMW Enduro helmet. Haven't tried a System 6 (or even a System 5) but I didn't have the problem with my System 4, oddly enough. That seemed to have plenty chin room.

I've had a System 6 for some months now(i). Its absolutely brilliant.

My autocom headset fits well, it is proper quiet, the sun visor is excellent, it doesn't mist and it is very delightfully light - something you really notice after a few 100 miles.

Heartily recommended :)

I bought a system 6 last weekend and tried it out yesterday.

I bought it largely because I wear glasses and I can put it on and take it off without removing my glasses.

It's very confortable, quiet and having adjusted the under chin pad it seals completely keeping the draughts and noise out. The ventilation can then be adjusted using the forehead and chin vents. With the pinlock 'double glazing' there should be no problem with misting.

The sun visor was easy to use and really useful with the low sunshine in the afternoon.

I was using an BMW enduro helmet up until now and tended to ride with the visor up at slower speed. When I tried this with the system 6 I found that the visor was blown down by buffeting fairly easily. Also the visor wobbled left to right in the air flow which wobbled the helmet in sympathy. Maybe this is because the visor is heavier with the pinlock system.

For reference I am riding a KTM 950 ADV with a touring screen.

Of couse the Scala Rider set I have will not fit on it so I will have to buy the Bluetooth retrofit soon (I love gadgets).

To sum up: I am very happy with it.:thumb2

Bought a System 6 on Saturday but not had chance to wear it on the bike.
One thing that does pish me off is the fact it wont fit in my Mottorad back box :blast only bought the damn thing in May!!

Surprising! It's a small helmet - much smaller than my old Schuberth C2.

Mt helmet is a 58 - 59 and it fits neatly into the Top Box. It would seem perhaps that the larger sizes won't? The dealers should be aware of that, especially if you bought the top box from them.

On my System 5 if I ride at speeds greater than ~40mph with the lower vent open in heavy rain water gets blown up onto the inside of the visor ruining the antimist function and seriously reducing the quality of vision.

Does anybody have the same problem with the System 6?

Went to Pidcocks today to try a system 6 on so that I knew what size to ask Santa Claus to bring.

F*ck it, said the devil inside of me so I bought one, well Barclayvcard did :green gri!

Rode home with it on, f**king fantastic, (compared to the CABERG Justissimo GT at least). Looked down at my clocks on the way back, bloody devil in me again :augie so I slowed down a bit and grinned rather widely :jibber. It's a completely new experience, no wind noise, no mist, no drag when you do a life saver, whoppppeeeeeee f***ing do :bounce1

Cain't wait for it to rain to see what it's like in the wet.

Anyone want a Caberg Justissimo thing in silver size 60 3 months old?

Well chufed :JB

parabiker It was so good you just had to say it twice. LOL.

Tried a System 6 on today and it is certainly more comfortable than my System 5. Missus bought it for me for Xmas. Not allowed to have till Christmas. Boo Hoo.:tears:tears

Thanks to this thread I went and bought one two weeks ago. What a lid! A little noisier than my XR1000 and although it's 200 grammes heavier, it strangely feels lighter. All the features are excellent although the visor did leak a bit on a 360 mile trip to Cornwall. The rain and wind was extreme though.
