System Top box on Adventure

I am looking for a good luggage combination for by Adventure. As I do not have a small fortune I am looking at plastic System panniers rather than the Aluminium boxes but my 'local' dealer 'isn't sure' (great help) that the System top box will fit onto the back of the Adventure. Any testimonies to the contrary? Any alternative suggestions for good pannier sets?

The system top box fits on a special mount on the GS Lite rack, replacing the grab rail. It's unlikely, therefore that it'll be adaptable to fit the Adv, which has a completely different rear rack.

There are loads of topboxes on the market - why not have a look at Givi, Nonfango, Krauser etc?
