T Max 560 versus Forza 750

Owning a Tmax as a second bike spoils you ............. as it soon becomes your main bike.

Many times I've thought about trading it for something else like a Ninja 1000SX or a Triumph Speed Triple but I just can't do it.

Mines coming up for 54,000 miles now, I think its Swiss not Japanese as it still runs like a Swiss watch and is as practical as a Swiss army knife.

This thread needs more T-max pics dammit. ;)

The latest TMax is reviewed in MCN yesterday. As always they place it at the top of the tree.

ive managed tp pick up a 2022 ( 21 model ) tmax tech max over here in IE.

ive had a couple of Xadv's so i know they are all about, and i can ride a bike. i wnted something biggish , 2 up , auto. never had a Tmax, but always wanted one..

the tmax 1 or 1 up is miles ahead of the xadv, the rear suspension stock on the Tmax is miles ahead of the honda, no pogo-ing, no harsh abrupt feelings. CVT is not for everyone, but i will bed in see how it goes.

my only gripe is 40 ish mpg, not great, im not thrashing it, bedding in with it, but time will tell.

i may stump up to the newer model later in the year, but ONLY if i really get on with this one.

800 miles on my TMax now. Absolutely love it, not my only bike, but I can see me having a very happy and long relationship with the scoot.

Rode 500 miles in 2 days, it is far more than an urban bike, it handles really well and is comfortable. I'm officially a scooter nurd :)

That’s nothing. I did Immingham to Troyes in a day via the tunnel on an ADV 350. Many bikers who saw me in Europe took time to explain to me why I shouldn’t/couldn’t tour on it. Personally I was having a great time on it. More of an adventure than touring on a big bike. 🤪

Really, really like the new 2025 750 Forza. Full spec looks amazing.

TD
ive ridden one, , better than previous version, but that wasnt a bad bike, but its big, feels big, but its a solid ride. BUT rear shock again another honda let down, if you want to ride it , not thrash it the shock is pure rubbish imo. and ive owned two gen's of xadv, same setup. switched to a tmax - happier camper.

Small update for anyone interested, I put a deposit on the black/ gold wheels new 24 model, but now decided on the 25 X ADV instead. Looks like it might be a Swiss army knife and prefer the extra suspension travel and spoke wheels.

so where did you end up in the end, tmax or the xadv ?

Early days yet with my 2025 X-ADV but I’d say it handles better than my 2017 T-Max and the suspension is as good if not better..

wear well! they do jumps ok if you get the landing right lol.....choice if tyres is annoying, not that much for the odd size rear. michelin work well, but are soft, so you'd sqaure it off quickly if maxing out dct on take off. my advice, if you are keeping long term, id bite the bullet and throw in a rear shock aftermarket. doesnt have to be gold, plenty of options out there, cheaper.

dont get me wrong ive ridden the new 2025 xadv, had previous two gen's, but i just couldnt go again with the rear shock setup. The new one you have is more refined, the DCT enhancement is noticeable, not as clicky, although the previous wast too bad. new switchgear, lights and seat were v appealing, as are the looks. But had to try the tmax so picked p a 2021 yr bike. It was a very itchy itch !

The cvt is a little whiny on this gen of tmax, starting off, but i didnt go big on a brand new one, until im 100% i like it. Herself loves it, very comfy. i find the handling solid. brakes etc, elec screen, cruise control.... the new ones here in IE are 17k euro, thats a lot, so you have to be committed. i believe all the enhancements further improve the current new gen tmax, so i will decide end of year to keep this one or move up.

i do have a coupe of fun options in my garage, but im on the tmax more. my only major gripe is 15 ltr tank.

the 2021 i have will do around 160/180 miles if not thrashing it and some motorway, around town, 130/140 miles - ive to test it to empty to gauge the reserve so i know.

nice...... R9T will see you good for a while so lol

Yeah, if you've got the tmax bug, go for it.
This might sound weird, but the Honda Forza and X ADV are too much like bikes! lol
I like my scooters to be like scooters and the T Max definitely is, albeit an amazing one.
Liked the suspension and roominess on the T Max better too.
Honda amazing also 👍

I sat on a Forza 750 on Saturday but unfortunately was unable to get a test ride. Ideally I'd like to ride a Forza and X-Adv back to back but there aren't any demo models available over here at the minute. The Forza was much bigger "in the flesh" than I had imagined, and think I'd prefer it to the X-Adv. It will be later in the year before I'm in a position to purchase so I have time in hand to hopefully get a ride on each.

anyone here got the current 2025 tmax ? as i said having last two gens of xadv i do really like the tmax more.

im tempted, but as per my post here the polished rims are not for me.

my 2022 is great, but i like the newer revised updated and flash gizmos! the one i currently have, has heated seat , elec screen, cruise control etc but newer one looks ace.

be interested to hear anyone who has back to back switched up models / owners experiences.

There is a Tmax 560 UK facebook page, there are a couple of owners on there that have switched, one chap sold his 24 and regretted it and bought a 25. The other had his 24 written off due to a foreign object splitting his sump and trashing the engine, so he is now on a 24. Couple of back to back reviews from their perspective. But in summary, there isn't much in it, 25 has tpms, cornering abs but just about everything else apart from the different headlamp is the same.

The 25 is a mild update . As above re updates but they felt the look was too aggressive hence softening the front / lights . With mine having full Ohlins Akra and all billet bits I see no need to upgrade from my 22 plate . I usually do with each new release but will stick with this for 5 years or until they bring out a more radical design .

Yeah mines the same model as yours less the ohlins & pipe. Yours looks the biz , it handles better than I expected, I’d say the ohlins makes a huge difference? I don’t think I’ll be willing to put big money into it as I agree with your comments about waiting for something which is a bit more radical to change up. It would cost me 7k euro to change up to the current model. They ain’t cheap!! I’ve a new MT10sp to keep me giddy.

I’ve heard mixed reports on the Akra pipe. Do you think it actually makes a difference to performance or mid range ?
