If its any use I've got a Kriega Tank bag adapter which is universal for their bags. ie US10-20.
Thanks Barny. Im not familiar with that. Would it fit the large plastic Paris Dakar tank?
Try the French company Bagster. They make a universal harness which might fit your bike. I use one on my R80RT and then clip on one of their tankbags which I've had for years. You cna pick up used Bagster tank bags on eBay reasonably cheaply.
Bagster also do bike specific tank cover which you clip the tankbag onto. Possibly worth a call to them as they seem to have product listed for old school BMWs

Have you looked at the Giant Loop tank bags? I have the Fandango 8ltr bag for my R80GS. The base harness has very long straps which reach down the rear to the side of seat. The bag zips on/off the harness for access to the tank. There are bigger versions. Maybe worth a look.
I use this on my Basic Kalahari, it works very well. The tank is 35l, I think.
