So seems like there are lots of posts about assorted tank bags here on the forum... but nothing much conclusive and some way out of date. I'm keen on getting one this week, so thought I'd post my research hoping it will help others find the options and perhaps people who own any of these bags (or others) can add their views to make a helpful thread?

Seems after some googling the main full size expandable contenders are:

Touratech £217 (16-22l)

Looks nice, good brand confidence, looks like it'll hold a whole lot. Pricey, but that comes with the label. Lots of enthusiastic reviews… but people tend to justify paying a high price by praising it ;)

Wunderlich £164 (20-35l)

Looks a good alternative to the TT one, cheaper. Blue inside is a smart idea. nearly double the volume of some others!! Maybe too big? Compression elastic also a good idea.

BMW £180 (13-19l)

Roomy, not space for a spare final drive but very reasonable ;) The phone holder thing looks cool. Like the zip attachment. Price not bad.

Bags Connection £150 (17-23l)

Really dig the attachment on this and the idea of having power for the phone or iPad IN the bag is real sweet idea. Build looks good. Price reasonable compared with the TT one but with all the electric bits could get pricey (£250+).

Fasma £107 (13-19l)

Personally not so keen on the look of it, but the price seems very fair and I've seen loads of good reviews of it.

Wolfman £125 (17-20l)

Lots of happy punters with these too, mainly stateside.

And the smaller ones (not expandable)

Wunderlich £109 (15l)

I've got the bags connection tank bag.

Got it from SW Motech and went for the EVO version. The tank-ring is black and has a slightly different set of connection lugs. The quick release works really well, can be locked to the connector ring from inside the bag and is easy to attach.

The only down side is that you need to use the waterproof cover in heavy rain, it fits well and can be tightened using the draw-cord but you can't access the bag with it on.

All in all I'm very pleased with it :thumb2
