Hi folks i have a bmw GSA lc and I'm looking for recommendations for a good fitting tank bag no too small or big tia

SW Motech. Lots of sizes available and great connection system.

I found the bmw ones the best to be honest.

Personally I can’t be arsed with the ring types

I use mine lots and it’s fab

+1
Mine has done has done 50,000mls now and it's still waterproof. You have two sizes to choose from. Mine of course is a large one.
They are expensive but they are made bike specific and good quality
Two downsides.
1. The two rear securing straps/hooks could come dislodged when refuelling, now fixed with two little pieces of foam popped under the securing hooks to hold them in place.
2. The clear plastic window on the map pocket has yellowed with age (5 years).

If you want to be able to leave the tank-bag locked to the bike while you explore, then Givi Tanklock or SW Motech. If you don't mind carrying the bag or having it stolen/examined for valuables by some "low-life", then many others will do.

I'm slightly confused by your comment as the tank ring takes a couple of minutes to fit and then allows the tankbag to be fitted in seconds.

There are no straps to faff around with or to scratch the paintwork. I hated the BMW tankbag I had on my old 2009 GS.

I don’t like the look or style

Just a personal thing

Plus I’ve found the bmw ones very robust.

And I’m in no way a badge chaser

Each to their own

I’m not right, neither are you :)

I don't trust tank ring types not to cause damage to the filler - maybe ok with a kilo or so, but I've loaded my BMW one with 5kg and it's fine.

My '63 plate bike needed a new filler neck due to distorsion - no idea if the previous owner fitted one, but something caused the neck to distort and the tank to leak.

Have to agree after a lot of research, i went with the BMW one. Like already said not the cheapest, i was worried about the tank bag rubbing the paintwork but fitted clear protection film with no issues.

The BMW tank bags are shite.

Just my opinion.

The Touratech and / or Wunderlich offerings are not.

Just my opinion, too.

You’ll make your own mind up, no doubt. It’s why you have such an awesome steed tucked up in your stable, Tim.

I got a Touratech bag ages ago as it had a number of features I was looking for:
Easy to remove, two plastic click fastener things and velcro
Detachable plastic map pocket which is A4 size
Expandable for when I have just a bit too much crap

It also has a few benefits which were unplanned, map pocket works well to hold passport etc at borders
One side pocket holds a microfibre towel which can be extracted and used to wipe my visor as I am riding
Other side pocket holds a Crafty Plugger

I use it every week and have done for years.

See, told you so OP.

He only forgot the ever so handy, credit card holder and the elasticated ‘string’ on the side, which is great for slipping your gloves under when fishing stuff out of the (excellent) tank bag, like a passport at the check in.

Enduristan sandstorm its fully waterproof no need for a cover, had mine for about 6 years and still going strong, still waterproof
