I've just filled the tank on my 2017 1200 GSA and the computer says the range is 371 miles.

Has anyone got this far on a tank or is it just the computer being optimistic?

Or am I riding like a sissy?

My full tank gives me a range of 299 ha, maybe it adapts to weight and/or riding style?

Most I've ever got was 330miles, but average per fill up is more like 250. 2015 GSA.

(That's based on actual data, not what the computer says)

380-410 consistently on my 2014 GSA.

My recollection of GSA ownership and tank range is

The computer sort of has a look at the last tank full range and then sort of guesses at similar miles per tank.

I found that on one particularly hard and fast run to Scotland thrashing the bollocks off it all the way i only got 260 miles to a full tank. When i filled it up (near empty to full) the range suggested 280 miles but i got 340 on return from Scotland riding at an easier pace.

The next tank full then suggested a range of 380 miles

330 general use, 350 on Autobahns and bimbling about in the Alps up to 400

I was getting 40mpg in France, according to the computer. Put a bloody fortune in but was 75% motorways at 80-90 with panniers and top box so not surprising I guess?

I'm averaging 54mpg and says about 330mls to empty but again it guesses due to how its ridden etc
cost wise was £31@ £1.16ltr to fill it up

Ev will tell you the best you can get from a tank, as he rides like an old lady.:D

Regularly get 53mpg, says 370 when I fill up. Set the trip to 0, then add range to miles done - usually about 330 by the the time comes to fill up again:blast

Thanks Nutty :thumb.

57mpg is what I got out of it when I really tried. Around 47 possible when riding sensibly 42 when gunning it

I have had 330 and put 29.7 lts in it but typically I get 260 and put 28 to 29 lts in.
Computer says I average 45mpg.
I'm a big lad and normally 2 up and might be a little bit throttle happy.

I regularly (since Hilltop) get 49/50mpg.

As a legacy of filling in vehicle log books at work for 30 years I always note down mileages on longer trips (ie touring) and fuel usage (costs etc):-

Over 9 years the 1999 r1150 gs single spark would average out at 48.46 mpg

The 2011 r1200gsa tc on its first long tour (with 650 miles on the clock at the start ) got 45.4 mpg , on following years it averaged 52.3 mpg

The 2014 GSA averages out overall at 57mpg solo with luggage and 55mpg two up and fully loaded .

Above are from actual fuel used and mileage not from the bikes computers and normally on all of the BMW's solo use in the UK tends to mean 3-4 mpg less
